I use these shoes for pickleball as they do have some ankle support. To date, they are the best shoes I've used. I went up a size, from 10 to 11, to get the proper width. Traction is great as I'm very active on the court, especially lateral cuts. Even when the tread wears down, there is minimal skidding. That's when I know it's time for another pair. Which brings up my only complaint - tread life. I just wish Adidas could tweak the rubber formula to provide a bit more longevity. The uppers are still perfect. LOL! Nevertheless, it doesn't take away any stars from my review. I'm on my second pair, and as it's tread is just about gone, I've ordered 2 more pairs.
